polyvore
I haven’t done one of these in a while! I have been finding a lot of great sites lately, so I am excited to share!

  • Jane (seaofshoes.com) and her mother (atlantis home) have probably the best closet on the planet. They share daily posts of their vintage and high-end wardrobes. I love what they wear and covet their shoe collections!
  • Being green is a lot easier when you make your own non-toxic cleaning kit. Lifehacker gives recipes to make your own draino, window cleaner, soft scrubber, furniture polish, and mold killer.
  • Polyvore is a web-based application for mixing and matching images from anywhere on the web. It lets you create sets composed of individual images using an editor and publish and share it with your friends. (see image) It’s pretty neat to use for outfits you want to buy or to design a room.
  • I love getting prints from designers I know, but to get prints from designers everyone knows is hard to come by. Going to BLK/MRKT is a great place to find prints and original artworks by some of the greatest artists.
  • Speaking of art, you should check out the Potato Portraits by Ginou Ghoueiri.

  • Gwyneth Paltrow created GOOP Newsletter in which she tells you different ideas for styling yourself, your home and your dinner. In all honesty, her insight on fashion and her ability to keep it real to all of us who don’t receive $millions, really appeals to me. This is definately a perminant bookmark for me.
  • For some reason, the Tween Bots experiment really intrigues me. I love the idea and can’t wait to see another mission for the little boxy robot.
  • If my feet weren’t SO FREAKIN LARGE, I would totally sign up for ShoeDazzle! It’s a new company styled by Kim Kardashian that will pimp out your shoe wardrobe. For only $40/month, one of their stylists will pick out several styles of shoes for you. You pick one, and they ship it to you that month (with free shipping). Too bad they don’t do size 11.
  • Spoongraphics is an awesome resource site for all of your PhotoShop needs. I have a tendancy of running out of ideas and getting lost on where to go for inspiration. This is definately a stop to make.
  • If I was a skateboarder, I would definately go here for design ideas for my board. Some of these are amazing looking!
  • I finally figured out why Kal Penn decided to leave the show House! He’s going to the White House.

  1. The 50 Dollar Logo Experiment is sad and funny at the same time… partially because the resulting logos are ridiculous!
  2. Moleskine Asia is selling the limited edition Helvetica moleskine. I am trying to justify spending $30 on a notebook with no avail.
  3. Who knew art could come in the form of sculpted animal heads made out of matchsticks?
  4. Tim Jarvis‘ web site and work is amazing.
  5. Design inspiration has been coming from Decor8 lately. The pieces she chooses to showcase are visually pleasing and fun.
  6. I dont know why, but I can’t stop reading the Single Man’s Diary. He puts dating in Cali into a man’s perspective. A bit crude, but to the point, honest, and fun to read.

  1. One of my old classmates from college re-designed his website and updated his shop with tons of amazing merch. Check him out at theBUNGALOO!
  2. Not that I don’t love my dog, but I needed something a bit more graphically inspirational. I found some bad ass desktops at Shifted Reality to change both of my computers.
  3. Yet another microblogging site has taken over some of my time: Plinky. I like this site better than most only for the fact their prompts leave a lot of room for fun and their interface is really user friendly.
  4. Many of you are probably attribute to the largest group of people on facebook, but who knew that women over the age of 55 were the largest growing group on facebook in the last three months? MediaPost Publications has the report.
  5. The Pioneer Woman is a fantastic blog and I have done 2 of her recipes in the last few weeks & they’re amazing.
  6. Did you know there’s a scale for the type of poop you have? Um… well, there is…. im just sayin’.
  7. There are designers for everything, and Osborne & Little are amazing at what they design: fabric and wallpaper.
